Terms of Service

This website is operated by Dmitrii Zhiganov ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using Design Round ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Design Round is an AI-powered platform that helps users practice frontend system design interviews. The Service includes AI-driven mock interviews, whiteboard tools, session recordings, and performance evaluations.

Users who have purchased a course on advancedfrontendcourse.com may receive complimentary access to the Service, regardless of subscription tier.

The Service is currently in beta and under active development. Some scenarios, evaluation rubrics, course materials, and other features are still being built and are not yet available to subscribers. New content is added regularly, but we do not commit to a specific delivery date for any particular material.

When you purchase a subscription, you receive access to whatever content and features are available at that time, plus any new content released during your subscription period. You acknowledge that the absence of any specific scenario, feature, or material does not constitute a defect or a basis for a refund beyond the 14-day right of withdrawal described in Section 7.

You also acknowledge and accept that:

• The Service may contain bugs, errors, or interruptions and may be unavailable at any time
• Data, sessions, or account information may be lost, reset, or modified during the beta period
• Features available during beta may be altered, restricted, or removed in future versions
• Beta access may be granted, revoked, or limited at our sole discretion and without prior notice

We are not liable for any damages, data loss, or disruption arising from your use of the Service during the beta period. By using the Service, you expressly agree to these conditions and assume all associated risks.

You must sign in using a supported OAuth provider (GitHub or Google) to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activities that occur under it.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying AI models
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any portion of the Service
• Use automated tools to abuse the credit system
• Impersonate other users or entities

The Service uses a credit-based system. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or 3-month basis. Plan credits are granted at the start of each billing period, do not roll over, and reset when the next period begins.

All prices are in EUR. Fees are non-refundable once any corresponding credits have been consumed, except as required by applicable law (see Section 7) or at our sole discretion. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; existing prepaid periods are honoured at the price you paid.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, email us at the address in Section 18.

By starting to use the Service or consuming any credit before the 14-day period ends, you expressly agree to begin performance immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once any credit has been consumed. If you have not consumed any credits, we will refund the full amount within 14 days of receiving your request.

The Service uses large language models to generate interview questions, responses, and evaluations. This content is AI-generated and may contain inaccuracies. It is intended for educational practice only and should not be relied upon as professional career advice.

You retain all rights to the content you submit to the Service, including chat messages, whiteboard drawings, and other inputs. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely to operate the Service for you. We will not use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

By joining the waitlist or creating an account, you agree to receive emails from us. These may include product announcements, launch notifications, account-related information, tips and educational content, and occasional marketing communications.

You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Transactional and account-related emails (such as billing receipts and security notices) are not subject to opt-out.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee any outcome from using the Service.

Specifically, and without limitation:

• We do not guarantee that any user will learn, retain, or master any particular skill, concept, or topic by using the Service.
• We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any technical interview, receiving a job offer, securing a promotion, or achieving any other career outcome.
• We do not guarantee that the mock interview sessions, scenarios, prompts, evaluations, or preparation materials provided through the Service will match the questions, formats, expectations, or rubrics used by any specific company in their actual interview process.
• While we make reasonable efforts to keep our knowledge base, scenarios, and reference materials updated based on publicly available interview reports and community signals, we cannot guarantee currency, completeness, or alignment with any particular employer.

The Service is intended as a practice and educational tool only. It does not constitute professional career, recruitment, or legal advice. Your use of the Service, and any decisions you make based on it, are entirely at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Design Round shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks our security or other users. In such cases, your subscription ends immediately and you are not entitled to a refund for the unused portion of the current billing period.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The courts of Berlin, Germany have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.

EU consumers may also access the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
